ORLANDO CHESS HOUSE

CHESS CAMPS

Presidents's week, February 19-22, 2019

Orlando Chess House is excited to host the President's Week Chess Camp, Feb 19 -  22, 2019 at the  CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort, 7400 International Drive, Orlando, FL.

Instructors

GM Lars Bo Hansen is best known for his original chess concepts presented in his books by Gambit. Three out of his five titles are sold out on Amazon - the numbers speaks a clear language. You may not find GM Hansen on recent tournament lists - the reason for this is his daytime career as a Business School Professor at Florida Institute of Technology. GM Hansen was formerly Head Coach of the Danish Chess Federation before moving to the United States. He remains in high demand as a chess coach; recent gigs includes a US Chess School Camp in Orlando, numerous Master Classes by Orlando Chess House and an Online Series on Advanced Positional Chess.

WIM Jen Hansen is a full time chess coach who has participated in three Chess Olympiads for the Danish Women's Team. She served as Coach and Chief of Delegation for the Danish Team at the European Youth Championships before relocating to the United States. Outside of chess, Jen holds a degree in Educational Psychology, and she is an author of several books, including one on chess and education. Jen is the Managing Director and Coach of Orlando Chess House and the main organizer of our popular Master Classes and Chess Camps.
